The Bleakness of Winter breaks with a Friday visit to the Great Central Railways annual Winter Steam Gala, also turbo charged with Nottingham Brewery's finest ales (if you fancy). The annual gala always spans over three days of intensive action on our double track featuring passenger and goods/freight services from the home fleet of Ivatt and BR standards to name a few. Recreating the experience of a busy main line railway in the age of steam. This year guest engines from the North Norfolk and East Lancs Railway...LNER B12 8572 and LMS Crab 13065 star! as you can see, Making a cracking and very well attended day out for us on our one day annual pilgrimage.
