46100 Royal Dutchy Par Trip 30-7-2017.

A cracking Sunday out with the Railway Touring Companies Royal Duchy with full wine and dine...in coach A up front on the outward journey... the photos say it all, what a great day, or a long way to go for a Pint of Cornish Ale - Tribute on a Sunday dinner time! The trip started well with our resurrected WCR Slim Jim diesel Crompton 33207 hauling us to Taunton for Royal Scott (after prep at Bishops Lydeard as planned). Then the LMS loco on route took on water at Exeter and Plymouth and climbed the Devon banks with ease and great thrash, the weather forecast looked bad for Cornwall, but the gods of steam fixed it for us. We even climbed up onto the footplate at Exeter and had a good chat to the crew, say no more the photos say it all
