This was one of two open days held at Bruntingthorpe, the idea is that as well as the public having access to a wide range of classic aircraft mainly from the Cold War Era, some of the aircraft also perform high speed runs down the runway. This makes for an interesting spectacle as this is one of the few places in the world where you can see impressive aircraft such as the English Electric Lightning and the Hawker Siddley Buccaneer moving under their own power. If you have an interest in classic jets these events are well worth a visit. Enjoy the pictures.
