Some of our members enjoyed a great day out on the Ynys Mon Express 46100 Royal Scot performed really well with no drama's and the group managed to find a good place to eat and drink in Holyhead at the The Boat House! On the return trip Richard tried to photograph the Soviet Su22's at Airbus Chester and just before that they blasted by a tatty looking Irish Ferry the Duke Of Lancaster that would of been a restaurant/hotel on the North Wales coast! Nick managed to get some wheel barrow bashing and deer spotting in, and they all quaffed some ale, including Flail to the Ale brew, which made the day complete. Richard also had a dig at his miss(well)spent bashing youth.. and added some of his past visits to Holyhead by class 40/45 1/33 all on service trains not rail tours from 1979 to 1986, since then Holyhead has lost its rail freight etc, as a lad Richard even spotted the Class 01 shunters on the breakwater.
