The mighty WSR made good a busy gala with lots of people,visiting locos x2 Rats (Class 25 locos, + newish Hymek on the block performed well) etc and a Beer Festival at Washford as well, visits to the Star inn Watchet, the Plough in Taunton and the Cornubia in Bristol ... phew! Made the day extra special, with cracking weather included. I Nick and Gareth had not been to the WSR as a bunch of 3 of us all together since August 1989 so this also was a 30th anniversary trip! Back then in 1989 I dove us 3 to the WSR in my red mini and we bashed loco - Evening Star that's now stuffed and mounted in the NRM probably never to steam again. Enjoy.
